Race Weekend Events

3:00pm - 7:00pm: Registration & Packet Pickup for 10 Mile & 5K Race Events
Late registration and packet pickup will be at the Meters & Miles Run & Walk shop in Newport, KY. Final instructions will be provided with the race packet. We still suggest that even if you pick up your packet on Friday, that you park in Covington and ride the bus to the start line area.

Saturday, September 13, 2008

6:30am - 8:30am: Registration & Packet Pickup for 10 Mile Race
Registration and packet pickup will be at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. Buses will provide transport to/from the start line area in Wilder to the NKY Convention Center in Covington.

9:00am - 11:00am: 4 Bridges 4 Kids 10 Mile race
This event will now start at the Wilder City building in Wilder, KY. The route is a modified version of the original route that comes through Wilder, Newport, Covington, and Cincinnati. The Finish area is now at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center (using the same finish line as the 5K route).

Starting around 10:00 there will be an After Breakfast presented by First Watch for the 10 Mile event. All 10 mile participants and their families are invited. A $3 donation is requested, with proceeds going to support Families with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The Pancake Breakfast will follow the 10 Mile race and will be near the finish line area.

About After Breakfast presented by First Watch
First Watch Restaurant specializes in daytime dining, with unique breakfast, brunch and lunch creations freshly prepared to order. As official food sponsors of the 4 Bridges 4 Kids 10-mile race, First Watch will be donating breakfast to all participants. After the race, hungry runners will have the opportunity to re-fuel with fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, Siesta Key Cocktails (fruit, granola and yogurt parfaits) and more! With 10 Cincinnati-area locations, First Watch is a local favorite and is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. For more information, please visit firstwatch.com.

11:00am - 12:30pm: 4 Bridges 4 Kids 5K Fun Run & Family Walk
This event is a loop course beginning at the finish line of the 10 mile race. This loop route will cover the Clay-Wade Bailey Bridge and downtown Cincinnati. All families are welcome and encouraged to walk and help raise money for their local charities. Children 12 and under are free to walk with a parent or guardian who is participating.

1:00pm - 8:00pm: 4 Bridges 4 Kids Combined Expo

3rd Annual Families with ASD Autism Expo
Service providers, therapists, doctors, and organizations that work with children and adults with autism will set up free information booths at the 3rd Annual Families with ASD Autism Expo. Each visiting family will receive a free copy of the 2008 Families with ASD Autism Yellow Pages Resource Guide, a wonderful resource that lists autism providers in the Greater Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky area.
Health & Fitness Expo
There will be various vendors, groups, and providers here to promote a healthy lifestyle in conjunction with the autism expo. Pick up information and contacts to help you live your active lifestyle to the fullest.
Education Alliance Expo
Stop by the Education Alliance Expo for information on the various programs and community services that are provided by the Education Alliance which help promote education and a strong work force in our area.

Challenges

Media Challenge: Get a Team of 4 runners from your Media company or organization and register to run as a Team. The top three finishers on a team will score for the team. The score is calculated by place number. The team with the lowest score wins the challenge and the team with the second lowest score wins runner-up for the challenge. Come show your company, or team, spirit and take on the other Media company Teams from the area for the coveted 4 Bridges Media Challenge Trophy!

Police & Fire Challenge: Get a Team of 4 runners from your department and register to run as a Team. The top three finishers on a team will score for the team. The score is calculated by place number. The team with the lowest score wins the challenge and the team with the second lowest score wins runner-up for the challenge. Come show your department spirit and take on the other Police & Fire Department Teams from the area for the coveted 4 Bridges Police & Fire Challenge Trophy!

High School Challenge: Get a Team of 4 runners from your High School together and register to run as a Team. The top three finishers on a team will score for the team. The score is calculated by place number. The team with the lowest score wins the challenge and the team with the second lowest score wins runner-up for the challenge. Come show your school spirit and take on the other High School Teams from the area for the coveted 4 Bridges High School Challenge Trophy!
